this topic of "saving the rain forest" has been the center of attention for years and years and years but even to this day there are still large cooperations dismissing your out cries for help.
the rain forest is our biggest tool in the fight against co2 emissions, with out it.. well i dont even know!
i recently read an article about Nestle's participation in clearing Indonesian rain forests in order to make palm tree plantations. there support stems from their need to use palm oil in a vast majority of there products, mainly chocolate bars.
im not even going to mention how much worse palm oil is for your body then any other oils, such as sunflower etc.
"We need those rainforests. They play a crucial role in regulating our climate and absorbing CO2. The companies that produce palm oil are cutting down the lungs of the planet and contributing to making Indonesia the third largest carbon emitter after the United States and China. Yes, you read that right. Deforestation is actually responsible for more carbon emissions than all the cars, trucks, planes, and automobiles in the world: 1/5 of total emissions." (

not only do we need the rainforest for our own environmental health but it gives home and refuge to MANY MANY different types of species including those extremely endangered orangutans.
help me in supporting a boycott of nestle products. this may be hard seeing as they are the largest food and drink company in the world. but at the very least boycott the products using palm oil, some of which include KitKat, Rolo, Coffee Crisp, Turtles, Butterfinger, Drumsticks, Crunch ice cream, most baby cereals and all infant formulas.
this is a video green peace put out about the issue
